Golden Hornet’s 3rd Annual Young Composer Concert

Golden Hornet’s 3rd Annual Young Composer Concert presents ten new works from Austin-area youth ranging between ages 9 and 18. Writing the new works under the guidance of professional mentors, each piece will be performed by local ensemble Tetractys, between brief interviews with the composers.

The event will be hosted by Graham Reynolds and Peter Stopschinski, who co-founded Golden Hornet nearly twenty years ago and continue to serve as mentors for the young composers.

The North Door, Sunday, March 25th @ 2pm

Pick-your-price tickets can be purchased here. Every ticket directly supports the production of this concert and the further growth of our programs with youth musicians!

This year, we are collaborating with the Austin Symphony and 250 other artists to celebrate the great Leonard Bernstein through Bernstein 100 Austin. Recorded live at the concert collectively produced by the participants, the new music will reach wide audences, including those listening to KMFA and KUTX.
